In general, 4 weeks is about how long it takes for enough hair to grow back to get waxed again. For certain services, like underarms, bikini line, and facial services, you can come in sooner if you prefer not to let the hair get longer. We will determine the best time frame for you during your wax appointment, and adjust it as needed!

-Anyone taking/using acne medications like Accutane, Differin, Tretinoin, or any form of Retinols

-If you used Glycolic, Lactic, or Salicylic Acids, or any other acids or exfoliants in the area

-If you're taking oral or topical antibiotics, blood-thinning medications, medications for autoimmune diseases, steroids, hydroquinone, or are in cancer treatment getting chemotherapy or radiation

-If you have been tanning in the last 24 hours or have a sunburn

The amount of pain can differ from person to person, depending on your pain tolerance, the area you're getting waxed, and a whole lot of other factors! Generally, getting waxed is never going to feel good, but it is a quick pain that will be over in a few seconds, and will be worth the results!

PREP:

-Stay hydrated/ drink plenty of water!

-Avoid caffeine which can make you more sensitive

-Exfoliate 1-2 days before wax

-Avoid sun exposure

-Cleanse the area to ensure proper wax adhesion

-No shaving/tweezing/trimming for at LEAST 2-3 weeks before wax (hair should be at least 1/4 in long)

POST:

-No swimming, sun exposure, exfoliating, working out, or sexual activity for 24-48 hours after wax

-Wear comfy, loose-fitting clothing and avoid tight, irritating fabrics like lace right after your wax

-After 2 days, start exfoliating 2-3 times per week (yes, even the bikini area and underarms!)

-Moisturize 1-2 times per day (yes, even on the bikini area and underarms!)

Yes! You can still get waxed if you are on your period as long as you are wearing a new tampon or menstrual cup. Please keep in mind that you may be more sensitive while on or around your period.

While I understand wanting to bring someone for emotional support, my waxing suite is small, so I can only allow 1 person in there with me!

Exceptions include:

-if the person getting waxed is under 18, their parent or guardian may accompany them in the room if the underage person requests/agrees

-if you have your (under 18) child with you, they may accompany you in the suite as long as they can sit in the chair in the room or stay in their carrier. They cannot be on the waxing table with you for safety reasons!

-If you are disabled/injured/elderly and require someone to lift/assist you onto the wax table

Anyone under the age of 18 needs (spoken and written) parental approval for any and all services being provided. The child can also stop/discontinue the service at any point before or during the wax for any reason, regardless of if the parent wants them to continue. If the appointment being booked is for someone under 18, please inform me so we can arrange for parental approval before the appointment!
